Gorreana Pekoe Black Tea
Gorreana Pekoe Black Tea
Loose leaf tea (Chá). The Portuguese Pekoe black tea is produced using only the second leaf of the plant's bud. The leaves are harvested from mid-April to June, following the Orange Pekoe harvest, when the leaves are more mature but still young. This results in a dark copper-colored tea that is known for its full-bodied flavor and robust character. It is ideal for morning consumption and for those who prefer to add a drop of milk to their tea. It is less aromatic than Orange Pekoe but it has an even more intense flavor. The Portuguese Pekoe black tea is highly valued for its unique taste, which is a result of the region's specific terroir and the way it is grown and produced in Azores, Portugal.
